The instant price calculator: upload a DXF, get a price in 60 seconds

Upload a CAD file (DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES or STL), choose material and quantity – the instant price calculator works out the price of your laser parts in about 60 seconds. No registration, from 1 part, free and non-binding; the minimum order value is 50 net. It handles complete parts lists in a single pass via batch/ZIP upload. No laser-ready file yet? The guide Create a DXF file shows the way from idea to an upload-ready contour.

  • ✓ no registration
  • ✓ from a single part

Larger quantities? Talk to us first.

The instant price is designed for single parts and small batches. For bigger runs we plan your order by hand: we nest your parts together on the sheet and produce everything in a single run. That saves material and setup time — and we pass the savings on. Just send us your drawing and you'll hear back from us quickly.

What the instant price calculator looks like

One line per part: file, material, thickness, quantity – and the price per part appears right next to it.

  1. 01Drag the CAD file into the line item – optionally with a PDF drawing, from which the AI reads additional information.
  2. 02Choose material and thickness; for 3D models the analysis reads the geometry from the file.
  3. 03Click “Calculate” and read off the instant price per part – done.

Under the hood

3D AI analysis instead of quote ping-pong

The classic request: email a drawing, wait two days, answer follow-up questions. The instant price calculator turns that into a single step.

The AI behind the calculator analyses your STEP or IGES file as a complete 3D model: geometry, contour length and feasibility feed directly into the price. It processes DXF and DWG files as a pure cutting contour – you simply add the material thickness. The calculation is based on material, quantity, manufacturing effort and current energy costs.

The result is a non-binding complete quote with no hidden fees – based on the day’s current prices, with a 5-working-day validity period. How the price breaks down in detail is explained in the guide “What does laser cutting cost?”.

3D AI analysis of your CAD file

STEP and IGES models are analysed by the AI directly in 3D; DXF and DWG are processed as a pure cutting contour. You get a non-binding quote instantly – with no human needing to check your drawing first.

Quick calculator without a CAD file

No drawing to hand? In the quick calculator you enter your part's dimensions directly and see the price just as fast – ideal for simple cut-outs, plates and strips.

Batch and ZIP upload for parts lists

Calculate a whole assembly in one pass: add several line items or upload all files together as a ZIP – up to 516 MB. Every line item gets its own price per part.

6 add-on options calculated in directly

Bending, deburring, tumbling, powder coating, threading and grinding are simply added per line item – the instant price updates as you go. So you see the complete price instead of just the cut.

File formats

These CAD formats the calculator understands

From the 2D cutting contour to the 3D solid model – one file is enough to calculate the price.

Supported file formats in the instant price calculator (max. 516 MB per upload)
Format2D / 3DNote
.dxf2DCutting contour – enter material thickness in the calculator (required)
.dwg2DCutting contour – enter material thickness in the calculator (required)
.step3DSolid model – the 3D AI analysis reads the geometry directly
.iges3DSolid model – processed like STEP by the 3D AI analysis
.stl3DMesh model from 3D software – upload just like STEP/IGES
.zipBatch uploadSeveral files or complete parts lists as a batch upload

Honest limits: what to know before you upload

The instant price calculator can do a lot, but not everything – three points always apply:

  • Minimum order value €50 net plus shipping – smaller baskets can’t be ordered.
  • Maximum 516 MB per upload – including batch/ZIP uploads of complete parts lists.
  • Trademark-protected designs are excluded – data and logos subject to trademark rights are never processed.

For large projects from €5,000 order value, Laserteile Online additionally puts together individual quotes with current sheet metal prices.

Materials

10 materials selectable directly in the calculator

From structural steel to Corten steel – standard materials are almost always in stock in every thickness, which keeps delivery time short from 2 working days.

The difference

No registration for a price – unlike Laserhub & Co.

Many manufacturing platforms only show prices after account creation, email confirmation and a company data request. The instant price calculator skips all that.

  • No account, no email required: upload a file and see the price – you only need to register when you order.
  • From 1 part instead of forced batches: even prototypes and small batches are calculated by the calculator with no surcharge logic.
  • Open to private customers: no business registration needed – private individuals order on the same terms.
  • Calculate with no obligation: run through as many variants as you like – you only pay when you order.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the instant price calculator

Which file formats does the instant price calculator accept?

DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES and STL – individually or bundled as a ZIP up to 516 MB. STEP and IGES models are analysed by the AI in 3D; DXF and DWG are processed as a pure cutting contour, where you simply add the material thickness.

How long does the online calculation take?

About 60 seconds: upload the file, choose material and quantity, see the price. No sales rep in between – the calculation runs automatically via the calculator's 3D AI analysis.

Do I need to register to get a price?

No. The instant price calculator shows the price with no registration – unlike many large platforms, where an account is mandatory first. You only need an account with Laserteile Online once you actually want to order.

What does using the calculator cost?

Nothing. Calculating is free and non-binding, no matter how many files you run through it. You only pay once you accept a quote and order – the minimum order value is €50 net plus shipping.

How long is the calculated price valid?

Quotes are based on the day's current material prices and carry a 5-working-day validity period. Within that period you can order at the calculated price.

Can I calculate several parts at once?

Yes. Add as many line items as you like in the calculator, or upload your complete parts list as a ZIP (batch upload, up to 516 MB). Every line item gets its own material, thickness, quantity and unit price.

What do I do without a CAD file?

For simple cut-outs, use the quick calculator and enter the dimensions directly. For everything else, send your sketch via the quote request form – the Laserteile Online team will get back to you with an individual quote.

What happens to my uploaded data?

Your files are treated confidentially, stored on local servers and deleted if unused. One limit applies: data and logos subject to trademark rights are never processed.
