Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains what data is processed when you visit laserteile-online.eu, when you use the instant price calculator, and when you get in touch by email or phone. The controller is fexon e.K., An der Eisbahn 8, 07973 Greiz, Germany.

2. Hosting with Vercel

This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you access a page, the server automatically processes so-called server log data: your device’s IP address, the date and time of access, and the browser used (user agent). This data is technically necessary to deliver the website, to operate it reliably and to defend against attacks.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website). As Vercel is based in the USA, your data may be transferred to the USA. This transfer is safeguarded by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

3. Google Tag and Google Ads (Conversion Measurement)

This website uses the Google tag (gtag.js) with conversion ID AW-985724139 from Google Ireland Limited. The purpose is to measure the performance of our ads: we want to understand whether a visit that arrived via a Google ad led to a calculation or an order. This is the only way to assess whether our advertising spend is worthwhile. The Google Tag Manager previously used is no longer loaded.

The Google tag is loaded on every page and, without your consent, operates in so-called “Consent Mode”, in which it sets no cookies. In this state, only anonymous signals without any identifier are transmitted, from which no reference to you as a person can be established. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in measuring the performance of our advertising); no access to information stored on your device within the meaning of Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) takes place in this state.

Only after you give your consent via our banner (“Accept all”) does Google set cookies (including _gcl_aw) and process the click identifier of your ad. In this case, we additionally transmit your email address to Google in irreversibly encrypted form (SHA-256 hash) so that a purchase can be matched to the correct ad (“Enhanced Conversions”). Your email address itself never leaves our systems in plain text. Transmission to Google servers in the USA is possible. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TDDDG.

Your decision also applies to the instant price calculator at kalkulator.laserteile-online.eu; it is stored for that purpose in a cookie on the shared domain. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by deleting the website data stored in your browser (cookies and local storage) for this site – the banner will appear again on your next visit.

For your language choice (German/English) we additionally set the technically necessary cookie lt_lang, which stores only this choice, is valid for one year, is set domain-wide on laserteile-online.eu (and therefore also for kalkulator.laserteile-online.eu) and is likewise based on Section 25(2) No. 2 of the German TDDDG.

4. Vercel Analytics

Vercel Analytics may additionally be used. This service operates without cookies and evaluates page views only in aggregated, anonymised form – conclusions about individual persons are therefore not possible. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in data-sparing traffic measurement).

5. Instant Price Calculator (Subdomain)

The instant price calculator runs on the subdomain kalkulator.laserteile-online.eu. There you can upload CAD files (e.g. DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, STL). The uploaded files and your entries (material, thickness, quantity) are processed solely to calculate your price and – if you place an order – to manufacture it. No other use of this data takes place (purpose limitation).

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (taking steps prior to entering into a contract, or performance of a contract). Note: data and logos subject to trademark rights are, as a matter of principle, not processed.

6. Payment Processing via Stripe

For payments by credit card, Klarna, Google Pay and Apple Pay, we use Stripe. The contracting party for the Stripe services is Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Ireland; for the provision of regulated payment services and for its own statutory purposes, other Stripe entities and participating payment service providers may also be responsible.

The order, contact and transaction data required for payment is transmitted to Stripe, in particular the order number, amount, currency, email address, the payment method chosen and the payment status. You enter card or account details directly on the payment page provided by Stripe; they are not stored on our server. The legal basis for our transmission is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Security and fraud-prevention measures are additionally based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Further information is available in Stripe’s privacy policy.

7. Payment Processing via PayPal

If you select PayPal, the order, contact and transaction data required for payment is transmitted to PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. This includes, in particular, the order number, amount, currency and payment status. PayPal collects further account, device and payment data directly from the user for payment processing and fraud prevention.

The legal basis for our transmission is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; safeguarding against payment fraud is additionally based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. PayPal processes some data under its own data protection responsibility and may involve service providers within and outside the European Economic Area. 8. Invoicing with easybill

To create, manage and send quotes and invoices, we transmit the necessary customer, address, order, line-item, price, tax and payment data to easybill GmbH, Düsselstraße 21, 41564 Kaarst, Germany. easybill processes this data on our behalf. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is provided for this processing.

The legal bases are Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for billing under the contract and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR for statutory invoicing and retention obligations. Further information is available in easybill’s privacy policy.

9. Email Delivery via Brevo

We send transactional and service messages such as email confirmation, password resets, and enquiry, order and payment confirmations, as well as internal notifications, via Brevo. The providers are Sendinblue GmbH, Germany, and Sendinblue SAS, France; which entity is the contracting party depends on the agreement in place for our account. In particular, recipient and sender address, subject, message content, sending time, delivery status and technical delivery data are processed on our behalf. According to the provider, the core infrastructure is located within the European Union. Processing outside the European Economic Area by involved sub-processors cannot be completely ruled out; the statutory safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR apply in that case.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as the message is necessary for registration, an enquiry or performance of the contract. Statutorily required notices are based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR; ensuring reliable delivery is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Further information is available in Brevo’s privacy centre.

10. Review Request After Delivery

A few days after your order has been delivered, we send you a one-off email asking for a review of our business. For this purpose, we process your email address, first name, order number and the delivery time reported by the shipping provider.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in receiving feedback on services provided, as well as in promoting our own similar services to existing customers; we comply with the requirements of Section 7(3) of the German Act Against Unfair Competition (UWG) in doing so.

You can object to this use of your address at any time, at no cost other than the transmission costs under the basic rates. To do so, simply use the unsubscribe link in the relevant email, or send an informal message to info@laserteile-online.eu. After an objection, we store your email address on a suppression list so that we can permanently honour your objection; the legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Messages required to process your order – order confirmation, invoice and shipping information – are not covered by an objection and will continue to be sent.

The email contains a link to our business profile on Google. Simply receiving the email does not transmit any data to Google. Only when you follow the link do you leave our site; from that point, the privacy notices of Google Ireland Limited apply. A review posted there is publicly visible.

11. Contact by Email or Phone

If you contact us by email at info@laserteile-online.eu or by phone, we process the data you provide (name, contact details, the content of your enquiry, attached files) to answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in handling enquiries).

12. Retention Period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. The data is deleted afterwards, unless statutory retention obligations (e.g. commercial- and tax-law periods for quotes, orders and invoices) prevent deletion.

13. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the following data subject rights, which you can exercise at any time, informally, by email to info@laserteile-online.eu:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) – what data we hold about you,
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) – have inaccurate data corrected,
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) – have data deleted, provided no retention obligations apply,
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • Right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Thuringian State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (TLfDI), Erfurt, Germany.
